Skip to 41st minute to see Kevin speaking at the February Doylestown Twp. Board of Supervisors meeting
His Letter to the Editor:
My husband and I have been a resident of Doylestown Township for 23 years. We have developed strong ties to this community and respectfully enjoy the benefits that our township provides.
For the past few months, I have been listening to the voices asking Ms. Santacecilia to step down. In an effort to not rush to judgement I have been asking questions and learning.
The facts are the facts. What Ms. Santacecilia did as an elected official is an inexcusable breach of responsibility.
Our supervisors and many residents of this township have asked her to step down. She has been removed of all township committee assignments and as a delegate to county and state associations of township officials.
I applaud these moves. However, my concern is that Ms. Santacecilia will become viewed as simply a distraction. She needs to resign.
Ms. Santacecilia is damaging the governance, operation and reputation of our community. She is creating harm to residents and fostering ignorant, contumacious beliefs.
Her views, the vitriol she feels so free to disseminate and her intransigence keep us from appreciating the hard work that our township staff and officials perform day after day to make our township a place we are proud to live.
I encourage the Board of Supervisors and my fellow residents to continue to deny Ms. Santacecilia the oxygen needed to speak as a supervisor. Stay united and committed to keeping her hateful and destructive words from harming our neighbors and community. To my fellow residents please take the time to learn what she has done and if you reach the same conclusion join me in urging Ms. Santacecilia to resign.
